Tameside Security recently attended Willow Bank Farm in Droylsden to carry out work on an existing CCTV system following a system fault.

The job involved replacing faulty PTZ cameras and configuring the CCTV system to get everything operating correctly again.

CCTV Faults and PTZ Camera Replacement

A CCTV system needs to do more than simply be switched on. Faulty cameras, incorrect configuration or equipment that is no longer performing properly can leave areas of a property without the level of surveillance expected.

At Willow Bank Farm, our engineers carried out the necessary fault replacement work, including the replacement of PTZ cameras within the existing system.

PTZ – or pan, tilt and zoom – cameras can provide flexible surveillance across larger areas, allowing the camera position and zoom to be adjusted when required.

Once the replacement equipment was installed, we completed the necessary system configuration to ensure the cameras were correctly integrated and the CCTV system was functioning as intended.

Restoring Reliable CCTV Coverage

Rather than replacing an entire security system unnecessarily, faults can often be addressed by identifying the affected equipment and replacing or reconfiguring the components required.

Following the work at Willow Bank Farm, the CCTV system was restored with replacement PTZ cameras configured as part of the existing setup.

This is also a good example of why regular CCTV maintenance and system checks are important. Problems with cameras or system settings may not always be obvious until footage is needed.
